Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to carry any documents for my flight check-in? Should I also carry along my credit card which I used to make the payment?

Yes, you will be required to carry at least two documents that need to be produced at the time of your check-in for your flight. The same will be checked and verified by the airport security. These documents include -

  • A government issued Photo Identification Proof (ID Proof)
  • A copy of your e-ticket

However, you will not be required to carry the credit/debit card that was used to make the payment. We at BookOtrip do not share the details of payment method with the airline.

Please note -
  • Only the original proof of identity is acceptable and hence refrain from carrying copies.
  • If you’re travelling internationally, only your valid Indian Passport will be considered as a proof of identity.
  • If you’ve an infant along, make sure that you carry his/her birth certificate as a proof of identity, failing which he/she may not be allowed to board.
How can I get the copy of my E-Ticket? I have booked the ticket online.

copy of you e-ticket will be emailed to you, as soon as the process of booking is complete. You can then print the ticket from your email inbox.

Otherwise, you can also view and take a printout of your e-ticket through BookOtrip.in, through the following steps -

  • Once on the site, simply click on the ‘Customer Support’ tab.
  • Select your ticket type, for instance, Domestic Flight Ticket, Or International Flight Ticket. Then, click on the ‘Print e-Tickets’ tab
  • Next, enter your BookOtrip Booking ID. Here, you will also be prompted to enter your details such as your Phone Number or Email Id. Fill in the same, and you will then get a print of the required e-ticket.
What is the process to cancel my flight tickets?

If you wish to cancel any of your flight tickets, simply log on to BookOtrip.in and follow these steps.

  • Click on the ‘Customer Support’ tab.
  • Click on ‘Cancel Bookings’ tab.
  • Enter your BookOtrip Booking ID. Here, you will also be prompted to enter your details such as your Phone Number or Email Id. You can now choose to cancel the entire booking or the booking of one or more passengers or that of one or more segments of your booking.
  • In order to process the request, you will be required to review the cancellation policy as well as the penalty amount.
  • The refund amount that you’re entitled to, will also be reflected before you confirm to cancel the booking.
  • The refund amount would be reimbursed to the same account that was used to make the payment for that particular booking.
What is the process to change the date of my flight booking?

Date Change is a facility that is usually provided by the airline on your reserved ticket. This facility usually attracts an ‘Airline Date Change Fee’. You may also be charged the ‘BookOtrip Service Charge’ for the same.

Please note that you will be required to pay the fare difference, if any, between the original fare and the fare for the date you wish to change your flight to.

The date change fee, as well as the BookOtrip Service Charges, will be mentioned on the fresh e-ticket issued to you.

For changing the dates of your flight, you will be required to get in touch with our Customer Care executive through our Customer Care helpline.

Please Note -

If you wish to change the airline along with the date, you will be required to cancel your original booking. This can be done with the assistance of our 24X7 Customer Service.

I have directly cancelled my ticket with the airlines. How do I get a refund for them?
In case you chose to cancel the tickets directly with the airline, kindly inform BookOtrip regarding the same. You can do so by visiting the ‘Customer Support’ section after logging on to BookOtrip.in. Once there, you can get in touch with us regarding the cancellation.

Once verified, the amount of refund will be validated by BookOtrip. The refund amount would be reimbursed to the same account that was used to make the payment for that particular booking.

Please Note-

BookOtrip will charge a cancellation service fee. This charge will be over and above the cancellation charges levied by the airline.

How much baggage can I carry on the flight?

Baggage allowance on International Flights usually depends on factors such as destination, flying class, frequent flyer membership etc.

In case of Domestic Flights, the baggage allowance differs with airlines.

It is suggested that you check the allowance for every flight at the time of booking. This can be done by visiting the official website of the particular airline.

How can I get the boarding pass for my flight?
Domestic Flights

The boarding pass for your flight is usually issued at the time of check-in. You will be required to present your Identification Proof along with a copy of your e-ticket.

Usually, a boarding pass is issued at least 90 minutes prior to the stipulated time of departure of the flight.

International Flights

In case you’re travelling internationally, you will be required to present your valid Indian Passport along with the visa to the destination that you intend to travel.

The boarding pass for international flights is issued at least 3 hours prior to the stipulated time of departure of the flight.

Please Note -

Some airlines also offer the facility of Web Check-In, which can be done online. In this case, the boarding pass is also issued online. You will, however, be required to carry a print of the boarding pass to check-in your luggage and get on the flight.
